Let there be rock in roll as one of the fave artists in Filipino community unfolds events this year 2014.

Grateful for the many blessings that have come to his life, this charismatic guy said, “I want to thank you all for all the times we've rocked together and brought smiles to countless faces and races over the years and we've still been able to continue doing it. There have been lots of ups and downs as we've walked along this path for almost seven years together in this industry. But in the end we all stand still together and united as one.”

He holds on to this conviction that the Infinite Maker and His powerful gift to mankind called "music" is the only reason that keeps him and his fans all together and intact. Harris a.k.a. Dio, who has learned to speak and sing in Filipino language stressed, “Ang buhay ng musikero ay hindi biro. Maraming unos, maraming pagsubok.”

Through all these years, he draws strengths from all his precious and faithful friends “who always believe in me and my rock ‘n’ roll spirit.” Dio has earned the title “Rock n Roll Sensation of Dubai.”

Born in 1985 to a Pakistani father and an Australian mother, he has worked his way to be cited as one of the most prolific rock vocalists in Dubai’s music and entertainment scene and a respected Dubai-based writer and musician gaining fame as a songwriter.

Undoubtedly and no questions about it, he is one of the most sought-after lead vocalist, session player for countless musicians and bands from different racial backgrounds, most notably among Pinoy rock bands and musicians.

In 2006, his popularity and career in Dubai's music scene evolved from various local clubs and hottest spots in town for live music both underground and commercial scene. After seven years, he is now widely regarded as one of the most respected and versatile “Rock and Roll Icon” in the United Arab Emirates.
He currently performs as a lead vocalist for his own original project band known as HDS & Co (The Harris Dio Smith Project) which is consist of a line-up of his closest Dubai-based Filipino musician friends who all share their creativity with him in his original composition and are featured in his first upcoming solo album to be released soon upon completion by middle of this year.

A few demo singles from his upcoming album includes "The Mighty Survivor” a song based on a serious matter dealing with exploitation and human trafficking in the world. Another interesting one to be heard is Dio's first ever rock ballad "So Much Into You" which is his career love song followed by "Scammers Revenue" a song about political and industrial scams in the world and how power is used in a wrong way.

Last but not the least is Dio's first ever OPM career single "Rock & Roll Sa Buong Mundo" which is due for release sometime in April 2014 with a beatiful music video shot in the Philippines and directed by one of the greatest music video and film directors from the Philippines. Dio is also a lover of blues, jazz, soul, funk, classic rock, and old-school heavy metal music and according to him, he enjoys and could withstand any form of music as long as its genuine live music and makes sense. He's commonly loved by everyone and his fellow musicians from all around the world and especially by his Filipino musician friends whom he claimed to be an inspiration and his major influence in his journey as a musician. Being a super fanatic and lover of Pinoy Classic Rock, the rock music of the Philippines from the 70's - 90's era, Dio has an extra ordinary love and respect for those old school Filipino rock musicians whom he has personally met, idolized and even played together since he's known and discovered their music.

While he is known as an avid fan and supporter of OPM preferably the Original Classic Pinoy Rock Music, he has remarkably made a name for himself for his wide knowledge and skills in belting out the classic blues and rock songs of some legendary Pinoy rockers the likes of Juan Dela Cruz Band, Sampaguita, Maria Cafra, Asin, Freddie Aguilar as well as Pinoy rockers of the ‘90s including The Breed, Wolfgang and Razorback.

But performing is not all about Dio. He has earned the admiration of the Filipinos for his growing list of philanthropic acts though unmindful of the great impact his good deeds have on the lives of countless beneficiaries. Singing for causes has made him endearing to his Pinoy fans. He has performed for several charitable events for the benefit of the victims from typhoon Ondoy, Habagat, Pablo, and Yolanda victims in the Philippines. Also he's been pretty active in charitable activities for the benefit of cancer patients as he's outraged against this deadly disease which took away many lives of his precious friends and people he's known.

According to Dio, one of his main goal in life is to sing his heart out for all the cancer patients around the world and raise funds for their treatments and become a voice of inspiration for all the sufferers and help them battle this vulnerable disease and defeat it forever. Since May 2013, Dio is involved in an ongoing charitable event campaign supported by the members of the Abu Dhabi Business Council for the benefit of "Larry Castro" raising funds for his BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) Larry is a Dubai based ofw who's currently battling with leukemia for the past 6 years.
